I have three different approaches to garden design, created to suit you and your budget:
- I can supply large, high quality and detailed hand drawn plans (usually at A1-A2 size, and in colour) showing my design solution, with overlays and drawings based on site visits, a survey and discussions with you. This is the ‘traditional’ method of garden design, and the most time consuming. If you choose this option, I can arrange a visit in order to discuss your garden and provide you with a detailed quotation.
- You may be looking for a more economical and less formal approach, in which case I will work with you to plan the design on site. This can be carried out during just one or several visits of anything from 1 hour and upwards. It’s up to you. During this time I’ll draw sketches, suggest plants, materials and features, answer your questions and mark out the design on the ground. This can be an extremely productive, dynamic and creative way of working.
- I can also work ‘long distance’ via phone and email, from your photographs, garden measurements and observations, to create A4 sketch plan options and ideas for the layout of your garden. This is especially effective for smaller sites, new gardens, or individual borders, and typically takes from 5 hours and upwards, depending on the size of the area.
Fees: charged on an hourly basis, based on my standard hourly rate (please contact me for details).
