I can help you discover your unique personal style, gain confidence and find your own ‘inner gardener’. Gardens, like people, evolve and change all the time, and like you, your garden is unique. It doesn’t have to be the same as all the others; after all, plants, like people, don’t naturally grow in identical rows!
My guided gardening lessons and advisory sessions are inspiring, empowering, fun and informative. I love plants, have loads of horticultural knowledge and experience, and will help you learn about your garden, from understanding the soil; making and using compost; how to prune roses, fruit trees and shrubs; to identifying weeds; working with any problems; and finding out which plants will do best, how they grow and the best ways to care for them. I will also show you how things change and evolve according to the seasons and other natural and man-made influences, and can tell you about the traditional uses of many common plants.
You might be thinking about changing the visual layout of your garden, but not want to go for a full scale design. In this case, I can work with you to advise and plan some new options in situ, producing sketches, plant suggestions and designing literally ‘on the ground’ (see 2 on my Design page).
Even if you believe your garden is hopeless, I can help you see it as an opportunity, and bring it to life, creating your own, personal paradise. I’ll help you to grow with and love your garden, as you discover more about your connection with nature and the planet.
If you are thinking about selling your property, I can also help you to style your garden so it looks really good for estate agents’ photos and prospective buyers.
